Hydrant Replacement Project
We have kicked off a hydrant replacement project, which will replace approx. 50 hydrants in Kingslake Forest Subdivision and Greensbrook Section 1 Subdivision. This project will provide much needed reliability on hydrants in the event of a fire in the community. Eventually all fire hydrants will be replaced in the District.
Hydrants have been in the District since 1975, with some being rusted out and needing replacement for safety reasons, including ADA compliance. Some of the replacements can be seen below, where they are removing hydrants from sidewalks and relocating them to another area.

Community Cleanup
The Board President, Calvet Shelley, recently arranged a community cleanup, by partnering with the Harris County Solid Waste Management Department and the County Commissioners Office. This is in an effort to help with the appearance of our neighborhoods.
The biggest culprit of unsightly areas in our community are related to dumping. If you see individuals dumping items in our community please report this to the Houston Police Department at (713) 884-3131, so that these individuals can be prosecuted.
Back2School Community Event
We are thrilled to share about an amazing recent community event! Baybrook Mall Microsoft Store and other vendors were invited to join and participate at the Back 2 School Community Event with Harris County MUD 148. The event provided approximately 300 backpacks and school supplies for students from PreK – High School, with fun houses, snacks and refreshments for everyone to enjoy! Additionally there was an opportunity to hear more about our community resources and upcoming events. The Harris County MUD 148 and non-profit partners created an amazing event.
