No Boil Water Notice

From the Board of Directors of HC MUD 148:
Regarding the City of Houston water line break, your water is safe and there is no need to boil water at this time.

  1. The District’s operator switched the District’s water supply system to 100% well water as news of the COH water issue broke yesterday;
  2. The District’s water supply system never lost water pressure;
  3. The District’s operator is testing the water to make absolutely certain that there is no need to boil water; and
  4. If the need to boil water arises, the District’s operator will promptly send out a notification.

Harris County MUD No. 148 Receives Million Dollar CDBG Award

The District is thrilled to report that our community has been awarded a $1 million Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to complete Phase II of our Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion. Completion of these improvements will increase service capacity benefiting more than 8,000 community members in our District.

The grant was awarded by the Harris County Community Services Department and will be released following approvals from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and HUD of the Environmental Review Record (ERR) and Release of Funds. Harris County Engineering Department will provide project administration and inspection services.
